Talk through your actual costs

What is an effective rate?

It’s your total processing fees divided by your card volume, expressed as a percentage. For example, $1,500 in fees on $50,000 in card payments is an effective rate of 3%. It helps you see the full cost beyond a single advertised rate.

Annual comparisons simply multiply the monthly difference by 12. They assume your volume and costs stay the same.
